Saturday was the day to leave the laptop at home, to smell the sea breeze, the wonderful BBQ smell, and looking at greens for good eyes exercise. Heh, these are some of the greatest Dayak bloggers in the world. Saturday was a great day for them to meet for BBQ, at a resort by the beautiful Luak Bay seaside. Got to rest the eyes and fingers, men! Heh guys, great to meet all of you!
This is a photo taken during a recent trip to Tawau Hot Spring Golf Course. It is set in natural environment. There are many giant trees which are properly tagged. It is a great place to spend a few hours away from the city for fresh air, relaxation and great exercise. Golfing is more than just sports. It is also for admirers of natural scenery.
This was taken at Dewan Suarah during the Pei Min Middle School’s concert. The happy pupils of the Brigade had just completed their performance at the concert. That was a good start. I could see the proud and delighted faces all over. It was an opportune moment to remind all that good academic performance must be supplemented by good extra-curriculum activities. And the Brigade is ofcourse a good starting ground.
The young bank officer who committed suicide last week caught the attention of all Mirians. It was sad. We wonder whether it would have made a difference if he had seek help from anyone and the Miri Mental Health Association.
When a person is under stress and has a suicidal intention, it is believed that he/she would probably get over it if he/she has someone to talk to , to share the problems, to have a sympathetic ear who listens. Miri Mental Assocaition provides free counselling, all private and confidential, to people who need someone to talk to on problems, etc. It may be a family problem, a study problem, a work place problem, a relationship problem etc. You can talk to the experienced counsellors who volunteer their time for free.

I took this photo of the inside of a race car to show my friends. Look how it has been modified for the race. The petrol tank is on the left of driver seat. No air cond. No hifi. Just pure racing kits. Wow! the speed just was just amazing. But please dont try this on the public road. It is only for the race track. You are right…a lot of money spent on this interesting sport.
Hi! Today is Miri Motor Race Day at the old Lutong air strip. Wow, it was noisy! The atmosphere was terrific. Guess whom I met amongst many others……our ‘Tatoo’ friend from friendster. Here are ! heh, the show finishes at around 4pm today. If you are free, go there and feel the speed…..real noisy speed….a real fun day for all motor enthusiasts.
It was the opening ceremony of 3X3 street basketball tournament held in conjunction with Miri City Day celebration. We launched by attempting to shoot the basket. 
Guess what were we doing. What were we looking at? I will reveal answer next week…just to make it interesting.
I visited the Miri Office of the Lands & Survey recently to discuss about certain land matters with the Superindentent, Encik Roslan.
Issues discussed included land application by a few NGO’s, and land lease renewal.
I am now at the Dewan Undangan Negeri sitting in Kuching. This photo shows where we sit. Incidently 5 of us have to squeeze into a table for 4 persons as this Dewan has reached its capacity
